Dr. Rene J. Valles is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry, with more than 20 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. He is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life's challenges by delivering individualized treatment that promotes long-term emotional health and well-being.

Dr. Valles earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, followed by a Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Utah, where he also completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Valles serves on the clinical faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Utah, where he teaches and mentors medical students and psychiatry residents. He is passionate about advancing the field of mental health through education and helping prepare the next generation of physicians.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Valles enjoys consulting with local media outlets and school districts on mental health topics, mentoring students, coaching youth sports, and spending quality time with his family. His commitment to education, community involvement, and compassionate care reflects his dedication to improving the mental health and well-being of the individuals and families he serves.
