School-Based

Hopeful Beginnings' School-Based Mental Health Program brings high-quality behavioral health services directly to students in their neighborhood schools. By providing therapy in a familiar and supportive environment, we make it easier for children and families to access the care they need while reducing barriers to treatment.

Our licensed clinicians help students navigate emotional, behavioral, and social challenges by providing a safe space to build healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, improve emotional well-being, and succeed at school, at home, and in the community.

School-based therapists offer individualized services that may include:

  • Individual, family, and group therapy

  • Collaboration with parents, teachers, and school staff

  • Care coordination with other healthcare providers

  • Referrals to Hopeful Beginnings' comprehensive wraparound services, including medication evaluations, crisis support, respite services, and in-home skills training when appropriate

Hopeful Beginnings currently provides school-based mental health services in more than 25 schools throughout Salt Lake County. Contact your child's school to find out if a Hopeful Beginnings therapist is available on campus.
