Mental Health Therapist
(School-Based)
We are currently looking for…
Full and part-time school-based mental health therapists to provide services in a school setting. School-based therapists provide services on-site at a single school and are able to create their own schedule within school hours and school calendar. School-based treatment is a family and community-based model that is access-oriented and minimizes barriers to intervention and prevention services. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative, supportive, clinically diverse, and experienced mental health team. This position provides a great deal of flexibility and autonomy, with competitive pay.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct, evidence-based, clinical services including mental health assessments, individual and family psychotherapy, crisis intervention and case management services to school-aged clients and their families
Coordinate care with school administration, counselors and social workers and participate in school team meetings
Link clients to Hopeful Beginnings’ wrap-around services and other community resources as needed
Create treatment plans and progress notes to manage treatment goals
Ensure timely documentation using our online medical record
Participate in Hopeful Beginnings’ school team meetings and group supervision
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited University/College
Current LCSW, CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, LMFT or AMFT license issued by Utah DOPL
Other:
Pay commensurate with licensure and experience
Spanish speaking is an advantage, but not required
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must have current First Aid and CPR Certification as well as an approved DHS/OL Background Check, which may be completed upon hire
Supervision is provided weekly for those working on hours towards licensure
