Krista Petersen, CMHC
As the Clinical Director of Clinical Internship and Respite Programs, She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals. She believes in fostering a collaborative environment that supports both clinical excellence and meaningful client outcomes.
Krista Petersen earned her Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Weber State University and completed her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Phoenix in 2014. Throughout her career, She has worked with adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of therapeutic settings, helping clients navigate behavioral concerns, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions.
Krista's clinical experience includes working extensively with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, supporting both adolescents and adults as they address legal involvement, reintegration challenges, and emotional well-being. She also provides affirming and inclusive care for members of the LGBTQ+ community, creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients can work toward healing and personal growth.
She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and client-centered, tailoring treatment to each individual's unique experiences and goals while helping clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create lasting positive change.

Brynn Bailey
Brynn Bailey is a dedicated caregiver with a high school diploma from Valley High School. As a stage 4 cancer patient, she has developed a deep appreciation for life and brings compassion, resilience, and a genuine sense of purpose to everything she does.
Brynn feels incredibly fulfilled in her role supporting her clients and helping them reach their goals. She provides respite support for parents while creating meaningful opportunities for clients to participate in everyday situations that encourage independence, confidence, and communication skills.
Outside of her work, she loves to travel, explore new places, and embrace life to the fullest. She believes in creating positive experiences, building connections, and making each day count.

Jen Bailey
Jen Bailey is a Respite Provider and high school graduate who is passionate about supporting youth as they develop confidence, independence, and healthy social skills. She enjoys creating a safe, accepting, and supervised environment where young people can learn, grow, and practice navigating everyday situations with support and encouragement.
Jen provides calm, patient guidance to help youth build self-regulation skills, strengthen communication, and feel more comfortable engaging in public spaces and social settings. She believes in meeting each individual where they are and offering the support they need to feel successful and empowered.
Jen works well with youth and value creating positive relationships built on trust, respect, and understanding. She is CPR and First Aid certified and is committed to providing a safe and supportive experience for every individual she serves.

Liahona Moleni
Liahona Ta'ape Moleni earned a Bachelor of Social Work from BYU–Hawaiʻi and serves as a Skills Development Mentor and Respite Provider. She is passionate about helping adolescents build the confidence, skills, and healthy habits they need to create a brighter future.
Liahona believes that every young person has the potential to grow and succeed with the right support and encouragement. Through skills development and therapeutic discussions, she works collaboratively with clients to explore healthy coping strategies, discover safe and meaningful hobbies, and develop both short- and long-term goals that align with their personal vision for the future. Her approach is centered on building trusting relationships while empowering clients to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.
Committed to lifelong learning, Liahona has always been passionate about social work and continues to seek opportunities to expand her knowledge and better serve others. She credits her family as a constant source of support and inspiration throughout her social work journey, motivating her to grow both personally and professionally each day.
Outside of work, Liahona enjoys staying active at the gym and believes that self-care is an essential part of living a healthy, balanced life. She is also CPR certified and is dedicated to providing safe, compassionate, and supportive care to every client she serves.

Michael Petersen earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Southern Utah University and has been working in the Social Services field since 1998. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to support individuals across the lifespan, including children, teenagers, adults, and seniors, gaining more than 30,000 hours of experience working with diverse populations and all genders.
Michael's professional background includes 10 years as a Senior Counselor at Decker Lake Youth Center, four years in Recreation Therapy, and experience as a Mental Health Associate in the private sector. He currently serves as a Respite Provider and Skills Development Associate, where he continues to help individuals build skills, increase confidence, and work toward personal growth.
He is passionate about creating positive connections and providing meaningful support to those he serves. His approach is grounded in patience, encouragement, and meeting each individual where they are while helping them develop skills for greater independence and success.
Outside of his professional work, Michael enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. He loves physical fitness, fishing, hiking, and any activity that allows him to connect with nature and maintain an active lifestyle.
